About Us

First the name, Tarsier 3D Studio. Tarsiers are tiny primates resembling a designer deeply involved in a project (look them up, and you'll understand).

Darrin Lewis (the owner of Tarsier 3D Studio) understands the role of architectural design in construction. Before becoming a designer, Darrin owned and operated companies in construction, and architectural visualization, he was also an inventor. Thru the years he teamed up with General Contractors and created 3D models for each of their projects. Darrin used the models to create architectural renderings ensuring that the General Contractor, Owner, and Tradesman were all on the same page. While running LGD Construction Darrin was deeply involved in managing the projects and even performing a lot of the labor. Darrin later sold his half of LGD Construction and opened Tarsier 3D Studio to focus on architectural design.

LGD Construction, design build contractor

2016

LGD Construction was a design-build company in Park City, Utah, focused on high-end residential renovations. Darrin designed the projects and created a complete 3D model of each project. The models were used to create architectural renderings and walkthroughs for the clients and various trades. He also used the model to develop the construction documents necessary to obtain the building permits.

2007

DreamsRendered was an architectural visualization company in Park City, Utah. Most of the work came from renovation contractors that partnered up with DreamsRendered.

Mud Master, drywall invention

2002

Mud Master was a drywall tool invention out of Park City, Utah, that fed drywall compound from a slurry pump to automatic tools. Darrin was introduced to 3D CAD software during the design of the tools and quickly fell in love with the design process.

1992

DL Drywall focused on custom homes in Park City, Utah. During the drywall years, Darrin Lewis invented the automatic drywall machine. Later with his investment partners formed Mud Master.
